DR. DIANE GOODWIN
CHILD, TEEN, ADULT PSYCHOLOGIST
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist with fifteen years of experience. I work with children, teens and adults. I have a BA in Human Development and Psychology from De Paul University. I also hold a MA in Psychology and a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from Illinois School of Professional Psychology Chicago. I have worked and trained in mainstream and therapeutic day schools in the Chicagoland area. I am also trained to conduct psycho-educational evaluations and psychological assessments.
I currently practice in Wilmette, Illinois, working with children, adolescents and adults and families. I also work with women who have genetic predisposition for breast and ovarian cancers. I work with these women and their loved ones throughout the process of genetic testing, surgery and life after surgery.
Prior to entering the world of helping others through psychotherapy I worked in the software and technology industry for 18 years. I found myself in search of a more purposeful life where I could make a positive contribution by helping others.
I bring many years of life experience and education to my practice, which enable me to be an empathic and effective therapist. I believe that people who are experiencing psychological distress benefit greatly through psychotherapy. Change is possible and there is always hope.
